Carol singers visit the town hall

Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar will once again be ringing many doors in Hof until Sunday, January 7, placing the traditional blessing on the door frame and collecting money for a good cause.

Under the motto "Together for our earth in Amazonia and worldwide", child protection in South America is the focus of the Dreikönigssingen 2024 campaign.

In the city of Hof, the Catholic parish of Bernhard Lichtenberg sent numerous children - dressed up in royal robes - on their way to take part in the traditional campaign by children for children in need. After the sending out ceremony in St. Mary's Church, several groups of Magi also stopped off at Hof Town Hall.

Mayor Angela Bier welcomed the group led by parish secretary Mechthild Fröh. She praised the children's commitment and wished that their numbers would grow in the future. "We would like to thank the carol singers from the bottom of our hearts for their blessed work by bringing God's blessing into our homes and at the same time supporting children around the world," said Angela Bier and presented a donation from the city of Hof. A carol singer then placed the blessing at the main entrance to the town hall.
