Graduation with state examination
The Fachakademien are vocational training institutions that can be attended after a secondary school leaving certificate. They lead to a higher vocational qualification, which is achieved by passing a state examination. Admission requirements: A Mittlerer Schulabschluss and, as a rule, previous vocational training. But: The technical colleges differ in terms of admission requirements, duration of training and degrees. Interested parties should inquire directly with the respective school. Students who achieve an overall grade of "very good" in the final examination of the technical academy and in the supplementary examination are awarded the subject-related university entrance qualification. This entitles the holder to study certain courses of study at scientific universities in accordance with the Qualification Ordinance and the list of certificates of subject-related higher education entrance qualification that can be assigned to university courses of study.
