Urban planning in Hof

Shape quality of life

Urban development is understood to be the future-oriented development of a city, not only in terms of structural planning, but also the control of the overall development of all social, economic, cultural-social and ecological concerns. Sustainability is defined as the basis for action.

    Sustainable urban development

The city of Hof has formulated the following goals of sustainable urban development for itself:

    • Securing and developing Hof as a competitive business and work location
    • Creation of new residential building areas according to contemporary housing needs
    • Securing existing potentials from culture, education, research and tourism

The sustainable urban development of the city of Hof and its districts.

For this, the social, economic and ecological as well as energetic requirements have to be harmonized with each other. A humane environment must be secured and the natural bases of life must be sustainably protected and developed. In addition, the urban design and the townscape and landscape are to be preserved and developed in terms of building culture. Green space, landscape planning and energy requirements are becoming increasingly important in the context of urban and local planning and urban redevelopment.
