It was Her Royal Highness Queen Therese Charlotte, the much-loved wife of King Ludwig I of Bavaria, after whom Theresienstein Park was named in 1836. At the heart of Hofs “Stein”, as the locals like to call both the park and the restaurant, is one of the landmarks of Hof: the perfectly designed Art Nouveau Theresienstein building. Built in 1902/1903, this architectural gem lives up inside to what it promises from the outside. The costly renovation of recent years means that the Theresienstein today offers a classy atmosphere and stylish ambience for all sorts of functions.
For couples wanting to get married, the town of Hof can provide an extraordinary setting to make their special day an unforgettable experience. Every second Saturday in the month from April to September Hof invites couples and their guests to have their
civil marriage ceremony
in the festive
Theresienstein building.
(Outside of the term the marriage ceremonies will be in the town hall).

Couples from outside the town of Hof are also welcome to have their registry office wedding at the Thereseinstein.
There is ample car-parking in the immediate vicinity of the building and the attractive view of the town centre of Hof as well as the extensive park itself are a picturesque background for wedding photos.
