Enthronement of the carnival prince and princess

Mayor Eva Döhla crowned the Hof prince and princess Daniela and Stefan.

Last Saturday, the city of Hof celebrated the 51st Upper Franconian Prince Meeting in the Freiheitshalle. Prince and princess couples from all over Upper Franconia came to Hof for the fifth season of the year. The custom is celebrated before Lent until Ash Wednesday as Fasching, Karneval, Fastnacht or Fassenacht.

Mayor Eva Döhla crowned the Hof prince and princess Daniela and Stefan and presented them with the Hof city treasury and the key to the town hall with the words: "These two will get us through the foolish season in the best possible way." The princely couple, Prince Stefan IV and his Princess Daniela I, were officially entrusted with the regency in the ballroom of the Hofer Freiheitshalle. The 1st Hofer Karnevalsgesellschaft Narhalla with all its active members, Elferrat and dance guards offered a full program of spectacular dances, cheeky carnival speeches and the entry of the Upper Franconian princes and princesses.

The Mayor of Hof then awarded the Order of the Pretzel to Karin Ziegler, who has rendered outstanding services to the carnival. Karin Ziegler, a member of the association since February 1982, has not only always embodied the joy of carnival dancing, but has also served as a role model by passing on her knowledge and skills as a trainer of the Prinzengarde and the men's ballet. Karin Ziegler works as a page and organizer behind the scenes and ensures that everything runs smoothly on stage. Her commitment and willingness to help throughout the year make her a pillar on which Narhalla Hof can build.
